Davis Will Debut In Truck Series This Week

Dusty Davis will make his Daytona debut in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this week. The 19 year old rookie driver from Las Vegas, Nevada ran a limited schedule in the NCWTS last year, this coming year Davis hopes to secure sponsorship enabling him to run a full season so he can contend for the Rookie of the Year Championship.
Davis will pilot the No.15 Arrington Racing/Thunder Exhaust Ram Truck at Daytona. Davis said, “I want to thank Thunder Exhaust for coming on board for Daytona. I am scheduled to run the first two NCWTS races and I am hoping to be able to secure additional sponsorship to run the full season.”
Dusty Davis has already accumulated nine years of racing experience with over 80 race wins. Beginning with racing go karts, where the young driver secured three Grand National Championships, he moved on to legend cars at the age of 14, winning his first race. Davis raced legend cars for two years securing multiple victories. In 2010, at the age of 16, Davis made his NASCAR debut in the Wheelen All American Series, where the rookie driver finished second overall in the California State Championship. During his rookie season he accumulated four wins and seven poles. Davis also ran two races in the KN Pro Series-West in 2010 finishing in the top ten in both races.

Off the track Davis is the National Spokesperson for the 501c Non-profit reading incentive program Driven to Read. “Reading is extremely important. I hope to inspire children to read from a young age, so they not only understand how important it is, but also learn to enjoy it,” said Davis.
