DUSTY DAVIS RACKS UP WINS TO CLAIM 2ND
It was a big night for the Vision Aviation Racing Team and 2 hard charging teenagers were the stars of the show. Ryan Reed, 17, and VAR driver Dusty Davis, 18, won the NASCAR Pepsi One Super Late Model twin 40-lap mains at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale Saturday. Davis’ Vision Air teammate Justin Johnson also celebrated by winning his first NASCAR championship. The Las Vegan also won the NASCAR All-American Weekly Racing Series California State championship.

Justin Johnson celebrated his 25th birthday on Monday, but before he unwrapped any gifts he collected two nice feature win trophies from Toyota Speedway at Irwindale as he swept both of Saturday night’s twin 40 lap NASCAR Pepsi Super Late Model features.

Now that he’s out of high school, Dusty Davis is on track to his dream career. The 17-year-old Summerlin resident’s goal is to compete in NASCAR races, and he’s already making a name for himself.

Wild finishes, a first-time Pepsi Super Late Model feature winner and four point leaders extend their lead in their respective divisions. All of that took place in front of almost 3,000 spectators at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale this past Saturday.
